Following Gov. Doug Ducey’s approval of a bill expanding gambling, collaboration with sports entertainment entities in Arizona is becoming increasingly attractive to gambling companies. On Thursday, FanDuel Sportsbook jumped on the bandwagon aggressively.
A day following DraftKings Sportsbook’s deal with TPC Scottsdale, FanDuel Arizona has also reached an agreement with the Phoenix Suns. This agreement will allow them to offer daily fantasy sports and sports betting in Arizona.
As a result, NBA fans in the condition may experience potential seasons as something new.
FanDuel Sportsbook is coming to Phoenix Suns Arena.
A press release has announced that FanDuel will run a retail sportsbook in Phoenix Suns Arena, the home stadium for the Suns and the Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA. The proposed layout will cover 6,300 square feet and will feature lounge seating, a betting window, and self-service kiosks.
Additionally, FanDuel will be available online across the state. However, there are still unresolved issues to address. One of these includes the question of whether FanDuel will have the ability to operate the betting throughout the entire year.
Furthermore, it remains uncertain if bettors will have the ability to place bets on ongoing Mercury and Suns games in the market. Even if this is possible, those businesses may still be small. The answers to these questions will become apparent once the Arizona Department of Gaming publishes its regulations.
